The Management Committee of Singapore Karate-Do Federation herein congratulates our Karate-Do National Athlete Audric Ping for being awarded with the inaugural National Youth Leader Award.

Audric Ping received the award from the Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Lawrence Wong, the guest of honour of the Halogen Foundation Gala Dinner on 29 October 2013.

Audric received praises from the Acting Minister Lawrence Wong for his resilience attitude and community spirit and his commitment in the sports of Karate and for using the sports to reach out the community as a whole.

MP Baey Yam Keng, the selection committee chairman was of the opinion that Audric’s difficult journey in the pursuit of excellence in his academic  studies and Karate-Do and his spirit of gratitude, perseverance and loyalty was what distinguished him from the other finalists, to clinch the award.

To quote our Acting Minister Lawrence Wong: “One important thing that we hope our young people will spend time thinking about is what they can do to build a better and stronger Singapore.” Singapore Karate-Do Federation is committed to play our part as the National Sports Association in grooming more young people like Audric with community spirit so as to build a better and stronger Singapore.

To quote Halogen Foundation mission statement: "To inspire and influence a generation of young people to lead themselves and others well."

We firmly believe Audric achievement will inspire and influence many of his generation and believe that nothing is impossible if you work hard to achieve your dreams.
